Linda's Poliwag

A Poliwag I made for my friend and mentor back in high school. She taught me how to crochet. This poliwag is very easy to make. I encourage everyone to make a poliwag for someone important!

Materials:
Googly eyes
Blue yarn
White yarn
Pink yarn
Black yarn
Yarn needle
3.5 mm hook

Body (blue yarn)
magic circle 6 sc (6)
sc 2 into each sc (12)
sc 1, sc 2 into next sc (18)
sc 2, sc 2 into next sc (24)
sc 4 rounds (24)
sc 2, sc 2 tog (18)
sc 1, sc 2 tog (12)
sc 2 tog (6)
FO; stuff and sew closed

Feet (blue yarn; make two)
magic circle 5 sc (5)
sc 5 rounds (5)
FO; sew to body

Belly (white)
magic circle 6 (6)
sc 2 into each sc (12)
sc 1, sc 2 into next sc (18)
FO; sew swirl in black; sew onto body

Mouth (pink yarn)
magic circle 5 sc (5)
sc 1 round (5)
FO; sew to body

Tail (starting in blue)
ch 10; turn and sc 9
switch to white; starting on the right side, working around the end of the ch.
sc 1, hdc 2, dc 4, trc 1, trc 5 into next sc, trc 1, dc 4, hdc 2, sc 1
FO; sew to body

Hot glue googly eyes to face and you're done!
